Sue's Specialties

Sue Gallucci works with adults and adolescents in individual, couples and family therapy. Using a non-judgmental, straight forward approach (with a dash of humor on the side), combining a variety of techniques geared towards each individual's learning style, Sue works to find the approach that works best for you.

Individuals, Couples & Family Therapy

Unlike individual sessions where you are the client in couple & family therapy the relationship is the primary client. We will work together to sort through the things that are helping and hurting your chances of having and maintaining a healthy relationship. In order to make the most out of couple & family therapy I often have several individual sessions too so we can see what baggage you each bring into the relationship and get you to clean that out on your own.

Teen & Young Adult Therapy

Just about every concern or problem an adult faces was present in some form when they were young. If they had developed a better understanding of life and coping strategies in their youth whatever they are facing now would be easier for them. It is sad that so many parents ignore the signs or figure the child will outgrow it so they kind of blow them off. Almost every adult that finally comes in to see me wishes they had come in much sooner.

 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I want you to know that it’s not only big, bad past traumas, as if they are a capital “T” that can negatively affect you today. It is more often small traumas, like a little “t” or even just maladaptive coping strategies, views of the world, ourselves and people that we formed when we were very small children that kick into play, seem to intermittently trigger and kidnap our current selves and do not serve us well now. Either way I can help you sort through it and incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when applicable

 Anxiety & Stress

Anxiety like stress is a culmination of other feelings so the first step is to decipher what the underlying feelings and contributing factors are in your life that are adding up to cause the stress or anxiety. We can sort through the variables to make sure all the factors in your life are healthy and develop an array of coping strategies you can use to keep your life running smoothly.
